    Need some FPP player Vixen 3 help.

    I have a SAN e682 controller. Running 1 10 node strand and 5 50 node strands. 2 universes 900 output channels. 3-1 is 10 nodes. 3-2, 3-3, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3 are all 50 nodes. I originally set everything up universe 1 1-510 and universe 2 511-900. But it was only getting 2 strands to work. So I went down to what is in the pictures with the same results. All fuses are good and the board will work all strands with test modes. I know I have a universe to channel issue but I have stared at it to long and am missing something simple. All and any help welcome. Photos below for settings.

    your pi config should break universe at 510?

    I think the math is off a bit. Your 10 pixel string is only 30 channels so you have 780 channels not 900. On your E682 output page, Outputs 3-1 to 3-4 should start at 1-1 as you have it but should end at 1-330 (10+50+50 times 3). Outputs 4-1 to 4-4 start at 1-331 and should automatically end at 2-270. Likewise in your Vixen controller output count, the number of channels should be 780 not 900. Also in Vixen change the controller configuration universe 2 from 390 channels to 270 (universe 1 is correct at 510). Finally, in FPP, Universe 1 has Universe size of 510 and universe 2 has size 270 with start channel as 511.
    Also, I'd suggest you install the level 5.030 firmware on your E682. It gives you individual control of each output (instead of the groups of 4) plus it allows changes to pixel reset timing which will be needed if you have recently purchased pixels (needs to be greater than 300 ns on new ones versus 50 ns on older pixels).

    So pi config is not breaking the channels at 510 correctly. I will look at reloading all new firmware and going back to the 730 pixel setup and see what happens. I have to work today so I will be busy tomorrow and keep everyone updated.

    So. I have to run 900 channels because all the rest are 50. So I took my 10 string made it a 50 but only linked 10 nodes 30 channels on 3-1. Then I made the rest. I have every strand working but 1 and can't figure it out. Here is where I am at.

    I understand now why you had to use 900 channels (note that the newest firmware, now two years old, version 5.030, allows you to define each individual output so you don't have "wasted" channels). I do see an issue with the setup on the E682. On outputs 3-1 to 3-4, you have Universe 1 starting on channel 181. It needs to start at 1. It should automatically populate the end as Universe 2 channel 90. Then for outputs 4-1 to 4-4, Start Address should be Universe 2 channel 91 and automatically populate the end as Universe 3 channel 180. Also, just so I understand correctly your patching, you patched the first 30 channels for the 10 pixel string. Then you skipped the next 120 channels. Finally, you patched the last 750 channels for the 5-50 pixel strings. Is that right? If not, that's what it should be. Everything else looks OK to me.

    Ahhh thank you. The 10 string is the first string. Works great. It was the universe issue with the e682. I also corrected an issue with FPP I found in the universe setup. All working. I am trying to update everything but the San devices won't update to the new eeprom. I have tried 3 times and it doesn't take not sure why. And I installed the new version of FPP 2.5 and loaded it on a card but I want to back everything up now that it is working before I upgrade all of my firmware.
